Planit is hiring for Functional Test Engineer | Exp 1 – 4 years

What’s This Role All About?

Picture this: you’re in Mumbai, diving into the world of testing with Planit. As an Automation Test Analyst, you’ll be the one making sure our clients’ apps run smoothly. You’ll get hands-on with functional testing—think creating test cases, spotting bugs, and crafting slick automated scripts using tools like Selenium or Appium. Plus, you’ll have the chance to chat with clients, work with stakeholders, and maybe even flex some leadership skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Whipping up test cases and scenarios to hunt down bugs and keep apps in tip-top shape.
  • Building and tweaking automated test scripts with tools like Selenium or Appium.
  • Running manual tests to make sure everything looks and works great for users.
  • Teaming up with developers to nail project requirements and cover all testing bases.
  • Keeping track of test results and bugs with our defect management tools.
  • Jumping into planning sessions to shape how we test and improve our process.
  • Using Java or Python to power your automation efforts.
  • Sharing updates with stakeholders and keeping everyone in the loop.
  • Staying curious and learning the latest in testing tools and tricks.
  • Suggesting ways to make our testing process even smoother and smarter.

What You Need to Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or something similar.
  • 0-2 years of experience in manual or automation testing (don’t worry if you’re just starting out—internships or coursework count!).
  • A basic grasp of software testing basics.
  • Some familiarity with tools like Selenium or Appium.
  • A bit of know-how in Java or Python (or a willingness to learn fast).

Skills We’re Looking For

  • Great communication—you’ll be chatting with teammates and sharing your findings clearly.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills to spot issues and figure out solutions.
  • Knowledge of functional testing, like writing test cases and catching bugs.
  • Basic experience with automation tools (Selenium or Appium are big wins).
