Role Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer role is a pivotal position within Planit’s mission to deliver flawless digital solutions. Based in Sydney, this role involves both manual and automation testing to ensure the highest quality of large-scale web-based applications. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, manage client interactions, and demonstrate leadership qualities to drive project success. Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual and automation test plans for complex systems, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium (TestNG, Maven, POM, Data-Driven, Jenkins, Reporting) or Cucumber.
- Conduct backend API testing, functional testing, system testing, and regression testing to validate application performance.
- Identify test data requirements and generate necessary data for accurate testing.
- Analyze application behavior to detect bugs and potential issues, leveraging strong analytical skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to participate in process improvements and design reviews.
- Document test cases, defects, and outcomes using defect management tools, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and verification.
- Utilize browser debugging and profiling tools to troubleshoot and optimize application performance.
- Recommend product enhancements based on testing insights to improve overall quality.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-4 years of experience in manual and automation testing design and execution.
- Hands-on experience with Java and integration testing using Selenium or Cucumber.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with test case and defect management tools.
