What This Role Is All About
Imagine working on the tech that powers payments for one of the biggest banking projects in the region. As a Test Engineer at QualityKiosk, you’ll be based at our client’s site in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, diving into the world of payment systems, mobile apps, and UI/UX testing. This role is perfect for someone with 1-3 years of experience who loves solving problems, working with teams, and ensuring tech runs like a dream.
You’ll get to test everything from domestic and international payment flows to QR codes and POS terminals, all while using tools like JIRA to keep things organized. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll coordinate with vendors, attend meetings, and make sure every test is on point. Plus, you’ll be working to UAE time zones, so flexibility is key. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Test payment and clearing systems, including CB UAE flows, NPSS, PACs, and MT to MX messages.
- Run mobile device testing to ensure apps work perfectly for users.
- Test merchant POS terminals and QR code functionalities for seamless transactions.
- Verify UI/UX designs using FIGMA flows to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Design and execute test plans to cover all business requirements and scope items.
- Join daily stand-up meetings (DSMs) and defect triage calls to stay aligned with the team.
- Track testing progress and share daily execution reports and consolidated defect sheets.
- Keep the test execution plan on schedule and flag any concerns early.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and peers to resolve issues and secure fixes.
- Manage tasks and defects in JIRA, ensuring everything’s documented clearly.
- Handle emails, arrange team calls, and follow up on progress or blockers.
- Support and monitor testing team activities, stepping in where needed.
- Provide updates to the Test Center of Excellence (TCoE) management.
- Seek clarifications on functionalities and follow up for sign-offs.
- Stay available via mobile and MS Teams for quick communication.
- Adhere to UAE time zones and holiday schedules for seamless collaboration.
Qualifications We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing, ideally in banking or payments.
- Basic knowledge of payment systems and testing methodologies.
- Experience with JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Ability to work on a client site in Mahape, Navi Mumbai.
Must-Have Skills
- Understanding of domestic and international payment systems (e.g., CB UAE, NPSS, PACs).
- Hands-on experience with mobile testing and UI/UX testing.
- Familiarity with testing merchant POS terminals and QR codes.
- Proficiency in using JIRA for task and defect management.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset to design tests and spot issues early.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with FIGMA for verifying UI/UX flows.
- Knowledge of MT to MX message formats in payment systems.
